Quotation Sandwhich

Claim: The "journey" that john took was an eye opening experience.

Quote:" Then i saw the dead God he was sitting in his chair, by the window, in a room I had not entered Before and, for the first moment, i though that he was alive. Then I saw the sink in the back of his had it was like dry leather...HE was sitting looking over the city- he was dressed in the clothes of the Gods. His age was neihter young nor old - i could not tell his age. nut there was wisdom in his face and sadness in his eyes."

Commentary: This is when John figures out that the "gods" really are not gods but human beings and he all learns this on his journey.

Sandwich

Claim: The Society Harrison Bergeron lives in is not at all equal.

Quote: "And to off set his good looks, the H-G men required that he wear at all times a red rubber ball for a nose, keep his eyebrows shaved off and cover his even white teeth with black caps at snaggle tooth random."

Commentary: By making Harrison where these handicaps it doesn't make any more equal it makes him look less to the rest of society. He looks like a clown. In an equal and fair society he would be accepted just the way he was and not need to wear handicaps like a rubber nose or shave his eyebrows.
